Hello and welcome to our website! We are excited to share our work here at the Abram Powell Foundation with you and we want you to be thrilled about it too! We are passionate about touching and changing lives for the better and we look forward to sharing that passion with you! Once again welcome to the official site of the Abram Powell Foundation and have fun browsing around.

Our foundation is named after Abram Powell, who has experienced firsthand the challenges caused by the inability to speak or hear. His life has now become a success story for all to see and he is a great role model for others to emulate! The Abram Powell Foundation was started on the 13th of August 2013 by Abram Powell and his children. It was set up due to a passionate desire to make an impact in the lives of the less fortunate and we are doing this in meaningful and effective ways. We are also focused on organizing regular, special and exciting events for the Deaf Community to help them socialize, have fun and enjoy a greater quality of life!

This foundation is an opportunity for Abram Powell, his children and those who support this great cause to bring much needed help to the lives of many others like him.

What We Do

Help the Deaf Community:

Our first commitment is to help the deaf in the society especially children. The challenges facing hearing impaired persons are innumerable, but with the right support and guidance, a lot of these challenges can be overcome or minimized. Our aim is therefore to lend a helping hand, ensuring that they get access to the support, training and tools needed to live better, more fulfilling lives.

Offer Scholarships Opportunities:

The value of education cannot be over emphasized and this is no less so for the hearing impaired. While recognizing that these educational opportunities are fewer for them, the lack of financial capacity makes what is available even more out of reach. We are bridging this gap by sourcing funding and providing scholarships to outstanding children to ensure they get the right kind and quality of education they need to excel.

Support The Needy and Less Fortunate:

Our activities go beyond the deaf community to include others who are also needy and less fortunate. We raise funds and create opportunities to help them in any way we can.

Personal Funds

We are committed to the cause and we show this not just by what we say but by what we do by being financially committed to the work.

Fund Raising Activities

We put together a number of activities and events annually with the aim of raising funds for the Foundation’s projects. These events are fun filled activities where we share what we do and encourage others to get involved. Proceeds go to funding the Foundation’s projects.

Special Donations

People and partners who believe in this cause play a big role by sending in much appreciated donations to help support the work we do.
